About Purifans- Smoking Design Advantages
THE PURIFAN DIFFERENCE - Why It's the World's Best Air Cleaner!
How can you be sure you're investing in the right air cleaning system for removing cigarette smoke and odors in your Bar, Restaurant, Club, Casino, Bingo Hall, AA Club or Fraternal Post or Lodge? Just compare the other Electrostatic Smoke Cleaners to a Purifan. We believe you'll discover why Purifans design has 11 patents and is the World's Best Air Cleaner Design.  Purifan is also the lowest cost to buy and operate, including filter costs when you measure your total cost for the cubic feet per minute of filtered air.  Purifan is silent on the highest speed settings, and moves 2,000 cubic feet of air, most electrostatic designs cost more than Purifan and can use 20 times as much energy. Here's more reasons why Purifan works so much better than other air cleaners.

Compare Noisy, Expensive Electrostatic Smoke Systems to Purifans

The Competition The Purifan
Equipment Investment Higher Cost Outlay Economically Low
Cleaning Potential Limited to Unit Vicinity Area Cleans Entire Room
Circulation Power Leaves "Dead Spots" Ciculates Higher Volumes--Faster
Installation & Space Expensive and Bulky 15 minutes & Out-Of-The-Way
Noise Level Loud Motors & Vibrations Whisper Quiet, No Motor
Energy Usage Hogs Energy Equivalent of a 60-Watt Bulb
Maintenance Expensive Designed for Cost-Effectiveness

Five Major Design Differences That Make Purifan Work Better!

1 - More Filtered Air Volume - Compared to stick models, floor units and other leading brands, Purifan is in a business cleaning class of its own. Here's why Purifan is the most powerful air cleaner on the market. Most air cleaners rely on high-speed rotors that PULL air through a filter. The Purifan uses a low-speed rotor that PUSHES air into its filter at high capacity. It's simply a more scientifically effective way to clean more air, more completely. It should be easy to see why an Air Cleaner that delivers 2,000 cubic feet of clean, filtered air every minute is going to do a much better job than an Electrostic Smoke Removal Model that is so noisy you have to run it on lower speeds to keep the noise from being annoying.

2 - Ideal Location and Air Flow Pattern - Purifan is located in the center of the room, on the ceiling, out of the way and it can push fresh filtered air in all 360 degrees at the same time.  This air is exiting the Purifan filters at high speeds of almost 1,000 feet per minute and heads out to the walls before dropping down to the floor and being suck back to the center of the room by the low pressure area below the Purifan.  The air is sucked into the bottom  of a Purifan by a huge low pressure area created just below the Purifan.  The air goes into the Purifan at a rate of 2,000 cubic feet per minute.  That means all the air in a 20 x 20 x 8 foot room will go through the five stage Purifan filters every 90 seconds or 40 times per hour!  The air motion pushes smoke back to the Purifans so it can be swept into the filters.

Compare that to location of any typical small floor or shelf air cleaner that blows a much smaller volume of filtered air out the front, and due to the science of high and low air pressure, the cleaned air immediately heads for the back or suction area on the air cleaner.  This small airflow pattern cleans the same small corner of the room over and over, but very little clean air is actually delivered to the other side of the room.  The scientific reality of airborne allergens is that without some forced airflow, most allergen particles will settle to the floor or surfaces because of the lack of room airflow.

3 - Quiet Design That Won't Disrupt - People want to talk, teach, talk on the phone, watch TV and have normal conversations and their noisy air cleaner should not disrupt these activities.  One of the major problems with electrostatic designs, floor and shelf model designs is that they use a high speed motor that makes noise like a vacuum sweeper.  If you turn down the motor speed to a quieter setting they don't filter enough air.  Even on the highest speed and noisiest setting, most don't provide the 10 to 12 air changes per hour needed.

4 - Energy Efficient Design - The Purifan uses about 60 watts or 1/2 amp on the highest speed setting.  That is the lowest cost air cleaner per cubic foot of filtered air.  Most electrostastic smoke removal systems claim 8 to 10 amps or over 1,000 watts.  With the rising cost of energy this monthly cost is a big reason to choose Purifans over electrostatic smoke removal systems

5 - Lifetime Warranty - The Purifan is made in America and has a Limited Lifetime Warranty.  Every time you replace the filters it performs like it was brand new.  Compare this to models with electronic componants, collector plates you have to wash that get coroded or wear out.  Purifan is a much better design, because you want your air cleaner to last a long, long time since you plan to live much a much longer and healthier life when you are breathing healthier air from your Purifan.  Most of our customers had electrostatic units that failed in the first 24 to 36 months. They were glad they found Purifans to save the expensive repair costs being proposed to fix the electrostatic units.

The Bottom Line is that Purifans are the lowest cost, lowest risk, lowest noise smoking solution for anyone trying to reduce cigarette smoke and odors in a business, club or home.

How Many Purifans to Install Depends on Your Smoking Problem

Is Your Smoking Problem Mild or Harsh?

If you have a Mild Smoking Problem, good building ventilation and higher ceilings then you probaly need on Purifan for every 400 square feet.  If you have a Harsh Smoking Problem on your busiest activity nights and you want to make customers or members happy then we recommend one Purfian for every 300 square feet.  That means for Mild Smoking Problem the Purifans are about 20 feet apart in both directions.  For Harsh Smoke Problems they should be on 12 or 15 foot spacing to work the best.  There are no systems that can keep up with heavy smoking situations like Bingo Halls or Casinos, but the Purifans make a huge improvement in the visible smoke and odors.  Filter life depends on the volume of smoke and number of hours per week that the smoking is heaviest.  You may need to change filters every 4 weeks in Harsh Smoking Environments.  If you only have a two night per week busy period with a lot of smokers, then filters could last 8 to 12 weeks in a Post or Lodge.
